Located in Amsteg on the Gotthard road, our Hotel Stern & Post offers you not only elegantly furnished rooms and utmost comfort by modern standards, but also a glimpse on times long ago. A large part of the interior décor, furniture and paintings date back to the 18th and 19th century and have been skilfully restored. Enjoy the exceptional mountainous landscape and choosing a room with your preferred view. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s praised our cuisine in several passages of his autobiographical work "Out of my Life: Poetry and Truth". On our menu you will find first-class Italian specialities as well as traditional local dishes and of course seasonal delicacies fresh from the market. Exquisite wines from Piedmont, Tuscany and other Italian regions as well as grand French classics from the Bordelais region are stored in our cellars. A wide range of rooms for conferences and social events for up to 120 people are available as well as is a sunny terrace for 50 people and a garden.
